This is an exciting time for robotics as we start to see autonomous systems become reality. We are increasingly using autonomous vehicles and drones in our work and are working with universities and companies across the UK to develop these technologies for use in challenging environments.
As part of UKAEA, we have a mandate to enable jobs and growth in UK industry. One purpose of a national laboratory is to address pre-commercial challenges where taxpayer investment is necessary. Collaborative R&D is now widely accepted as one of the best ways to deliver innovative products and services.
